For When You are Rushing Through Life
This has become one of my favourite praise songs... and so I thought I would share :)
One of my favourite lines is 'hand on my heart, this much is true, there's no life apart from You'... it is one of those things I wish I remembered every moment of every day!!
This summer has been soo busy and when I get busy, and I even stop reading my Bible consistently (*gasp*), I try to live life on my own. I just start cruising along trying to get through each day, and sometimes I feel like I am having a blast...other times not-so-much... but even when it feels like it's all great, when I live life on my own it feels like something is missing. Because there is no life apart from God! When I'm not connecting with God, it's like life is only 2-dimensional instead of 3. Even when I'm having a great time doing whatever, I'm still not enjoying this (or listening to what God would have me do) to my fullest potential.
I'm really trying to get back into better habits for the rest of this summer, and I want my every heartbeat to proclaim it to me, and everyone else, that 'there is no life apart from You', so would you pray for me? :)
I also realize that it may be that this line also has another meaning... also true. For there is no life at all without God.
May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. (2 Thess 2:16-17)
